I’ve always chased possibility - in sport, in work, and in life.
Early on, I represented England in lacrosse, where I learned what it really takes, in mind, body, and spirit, to perform at the highest level. That competitive edge and drive for excellence gave me a taste for what was possible and set the tone for how I approach challenge and growth.
That drive carried me into a life of adventure, including years in South Africa training as a safari guide. Living on small Delta islands, navigating unpredictable terrain and wild animals, taught me more about resilience, adaptability, and presence than any classroom ever could.
It also taught me the value of perspective - of knowing when to push, when to pause, and when to trust instinct.
Later, working in leadership, hospitality, and consulting, I saw a different kind of wilderness: high achievers who looked successful on the outside but were quietly burning out, questioning their purpose, or living with the quiet ache of “is this it?”
That struck me deeply, because I’d been there myself.
Navigating midlife’s challenges isn’t so different from navigating the African bush - you need awareness of where you are, courage to face what’s in front of you, and a plan that adapts to the unexpected.
